The most significant damage is visible on at least two wheels with scratches and scuffing along the outer lip edge, estimated at approximately 30-50mm in length per affected area. The damage is visible from 1-2m distance. Light scuffing and minor nicks are present around the circumference of all wheels, consistent with typical street use.

Curb rash (Inner rim): Light to moderate scratching is visible on the inner rim edges of multiple wheels, as shown in the detail photos. One wheel displays more pronounced scraping approximately 40-60mm in length near the valve stem area. The inner barrel appears to have minor surface scratches but no significant gouging. These imperfections are only visible upon close inspection.

Paint peeling / Corrosion: Minor paint chips are visible on the spoke edges and around the lug nut holes on several wheels. Small areas of surface deterioration can be seen near the center hub area. The bronze/champagne gold finish shows light fading and wear consistent with the 1998 manufacture date. No significant flaking or large-scale paint failure is observed. Visible from approximately 1m distance.

White rust / Corrosion: Significant rust and oxidation is present on the back side mounting surfaces and hub center areas of all four wheels. The rear hub face shows heavy brown rust/corrosion covering approximately 60-70% of the machined mounting surface. This is typical for wheels of this age and does not appear to compromise structural integrity but is clearly visible in the back-side photos. The front faces remain relatively clean with only minor surface oxidation in recessed areas.

Suspected distortion: No obvious visual signs of bending, cracking, or wheel distortion are apparent in the provided photographs. However, given the age of these wheels (manufactured April 1998) and the presence of curb damage, verification with specialized runout measurement equipment is recommended before use at high speeds to confirm true roundness and lateral runout are within acceptable tolerances.

Special notes: These are genuine RAYS Volk Racing TE37 forged wheels, size 16x7.0J with PCD 114.3, offset +42, manufactured in Japan on April 21, 1998. All four wheels are equipped with blue anodized aftermarket aluminum valve stems which appear to be in serviceable condition but should be inspected for seal integrity given the age. The wheels retain their original VOLK Racing Wheel and RAYS Engineering decals in good legible condition. Despite being over 25 years old, the wheels remain structurally sound for continued use pending proper inspection and cleaning of the corroded mounting surfaces. Replacement of valve stems and thorough cleaning of the hub mounting areas is recommended before installation.
