The damage is superficial and does not significantly detract from the overall appearance when viewed from 1m or beyond.

Curb rash (Inner rim): The inner rim areas show signs of contact damage and scuffing. Visible in the close-up images, there is notable curb rash on the inner lip area of at least one wheel, with scraped sections approximately 30-50mm in length showing exposed bare aluminum. This damage appears to have occurred from contact with curbs or obstacles and is visible from 1m distance when viewing the inner barrel.

Paint peeling / Corrosion: Paint condition on the face of all four wheels is generally good with the gunmetal finish intact. However, there are visible areas of paint deterioration and white residue on the spoke surfaces near the center hub area, visible in the close-up image showing patches approximately 15-25mm in diameter. These blemishes appear as cloudy or faded spots and are visible from approximately 1m distance.

White rust / Corrosion: Significant white oxidation and corrosion is present on the inner barrel surfaces of all four wheels. The inner barrel photos clearly show extensive white rust patches covering approximately 30-40% of the inner barrel area on multiple wheels, with concentrated areas near the bead seat and inner rim flange. This corrosion is typical of aluminum wheel oxidation from moisture exposure and brake dust accumulation. The hub mounting surfaces also show surface rust and oxidation on all four wheels.

Suspected distortion: No obvious signs of rim distortion, bends, or cracks are visible in the provided images. All wheels appear to maintain their circular shape with no visible warping of the rim lips. However, given the signs of curb contact visible on the inner rims, measurement with specialized equipment such as a dial indicator or wheel balancing machine is recommended to confirm roundness and runout specifications before use.

Special notes: These are authentic RAYS Volk Racing CE28N forged wheels, 16x7JJ with +42 offset, 5x114.3 bolt pattern, manufactured November 2011. The wheels feature rubber snap-in valve stems which appear aged and should be replaced before mounting new tires as a precautionary measure. Despite the inner barrel corrosion and minor cosmetic blemishes, the wheels remain structurally sound and suitable for continued use. The faces present well and would benefit from thorough cleaning of the inner barrels and possible treatment of the corroded areas. New valve stems are recommended at the time of tire installation.
